My Revenge towards Supia

Out of boredom, my friend, Supia decided to try something wild and outrageous.

Even though she knows this decision of hers might land her in hot soup, she insists to go for it nevertheless...

No no no, she does not wish to contribute towards nude art photography.

You guys are so dirty minded!!!

Well, what she had planned to do is this instead...

Tada! Purple hair!!!
Mad chio right???

Okay, okay before she starts to accuse me for spreading untruthful news, I'm going to come clean now.

She is just my first victim for me to practice my Photoshop skills.

Knowing that seeing her hair in pink would be more than sufficient to drive Supia mad. My initial plan was to to dye her hair pink, the problem is I dunno how to adjust the color to pink. That's why I have to settle with purple. ><

This is the original picture.

I had blurred the background of the photo, healed spots on her face and of course changed her hair color.

For a newbie, my Photoshop skills not bad right?? =D

Awwww, come on, a white lie wouldn't hurt! ><

Here are few of my other attempts.

Tried dreamy effect. Dreamy, no?

Vintage style.

And I tried to color my hair purple like Supia...

Oops, looks like Supia rocks purple much better than me! =(

Well, I've changed my hair color. If you compared them with the original(my profile photo), my original hair has two tones which are black and brown(my hair extension color). Aside from that, my eyes had been changed to brighter ones. =)

Comments and feedbacks are welcomed and appreciated. =)

Babbles

Yeap, I'm so happy that I've got a new header now!!!

Thanks to Supia, after seeing her changed her new header, it makes me goes aaaaw, I want to put my pictures up there too!!!

So, there you go, four of my photos proudly presented!

Hey, I am a low profile person and the reason I'm doing this is because of my beloved readers k? Well, one of my readers had asked me why I do not post my personal photos or talk about my life at blog. ><

Fineeee, just close your eyes if you feel uncomfortable to see my header whenever you pay a visit. I don't want to scare away my readers~!

Anyway, I spotted something damn interesting today at a shopping mall which I think I must share with my readers!

Okay, maybe it is not that interesting...

What first comes across your mind when you see an honest looking old man who is in his fifties or sixties, holding hands tightly with a young Indonesian maid woman?

Something fishy right???

I was so damn tempted to snap a photo since they were oh-so-mushy-and-loving walking right in front of me and my BFF.

Well, I didn't.

So, Dr.Watson BFF and I deduce a few theories:

One: The old man is horny and decided to get a young wife.

Two: The old man is having an affair.

Three: The Indonesian maid seduced her boss.

Fourth: They're newly weds.

Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to follow them around....

The real reason remains a mystery unsolved. Sob.

Gosh, I'm so damn busybody now! ><

What do you guys think about this?

What Defines a Person?

The subject of beauty has always been argumentative.

How does one tell apart "beauty" and "ugly"?

Sure, the white sheep would have won single handedly since it out-shined the black sheep.

Let's take a look at this photo I found from the web.

The girl becomes immensely hot once she stands next to her plain looking friend.

One wouldn't be considered pretty if he or she doesn't have a plain looking friend around to be compared with.

Be grateful to God that you've been awarded with this advantage.

Although you're slightly luckier or have a little more advantage than others, it doesn't mean that you're greater or stand at a higher level than them.

To me, one's value comes from others' recognition or approval. Even a celebrity, his popularity is a result of his faithful fans' supports and acclaims for all his hard work.

Without all these recognitions, you're nothing. Just a nobody.

I think it is time for all of us to enroll in a little lesson known as "Thank You".

Beauty is only skin deep.

The more important thing is the heart that lies within the person.

Screw Serbia!!!

I guess today is just not German's lucky day!

Despite having great talents and awesome footballers, German still got defeated by Serbia in the match!

Looks like sometimes all we need is a little luck to succeed.

I'm sure that Podolski would have agreed wholeheartedly with me.

Since Klose had earned an automatic one game suspension for getting two yellow cards against Serbia, I doubted whether Germany will be able to beat Ghana in the next match.

Other than that, I find it extremely annoying the way Vladimir Stojković, Serbia's goalkeeper reacted after the game ended. Perhaps this guy got too excited with their victory, he stuffed the football in his jersey and ran around like a lunatic who just escaped from asylum. If you ask me, I think it is strongly recommended for him to go to check his sanity. You know, just in case he got a screw loose in his head?

Let us pray that Germans learned something from this match and play better in their upcoming match against Ghana!

Rants

Three months of semester break had landed me diagnosed with the deadliest disease known to mankind - laziness.

I'm lazy to move my fingers...

lazy to move my toes...

lazy to blog...

lazy to get up from my comfy seat...

lazy to wake up from my lovely bed...

lazy to bathe...

.....

Oh wait!

That last statement was a mistake!

Having good personal hygiene has always been on top of my priority list. =P

It is pretty ironic how I always wanted to have a break from my hectic university life. And now I've got it, I missed my lecture days back!

Life without an aim is a living nightmare.

This reminds me of a story.

There was this man who died in an accident. His soul reached a very breathtakingly beautiful place. It is like heaven to him!

Cold hard cash appeared out of thin air whenever he needed more of them. He doesn't need to work like a slave anymore just to earn enough money to pay for those taxes, credit card bills and other endless expenses.

Even pretty girls seem to fall for him easily at this lovely place! He goes everywhere with a hot chick clinging on tightly to his arm!

He stays in a super monstrous mansion with a team of servants at his command.

It is just like every man's dream and the best thing is he is the lucky man who has it all!

Shortly after three months, he gets more and more bored with the same daily routine. He finds it hard to pass his days without doing a single meaningful thing. Surprisingly, he even missed and wanted his miserable job back when he was still alive.

So he goes to this man who is in charge of this beautiful place.

"I want a job. Do they have jobs for us in heaven?"

The man laughed and said," What gives you the idea that you're in heaven?"

Thought provoking isn't it?

Am I a good story teller? =P

Penang, The Island of Bliss

Every semester break I'll visit my grandparents in Penang.

Mind you, the only thing I don't like about Penang is the TRAFFIC.

Look at the super long queue trailing behind!

We waited for half an hour just to get pass the toll plaza to Penang bridge!

Even the automatic lane also jammed!

The sky is so crispy blue in Penang! (Okok, I know sky is blue everywhere... ><)

Thank God the traffic ain't that jammed at the bridge itself!

I can even see the landmark of Penang - KOMTAR from my grandparent's flat!

Time to test how good is your eyesight! Can you spot the building???

Er....nope???

Then it is time for you to go for an eye checkup! =P

Okay okay, I'm not going to be that cruel to you guys k? The red arrow in the picture below points to the location of KOMTAR.

I tried to zoom in but it'll cause the quality of the photo bad. :(

Anyway, so long for today!

I will try to wake up early and capture breathtaking sunrise pictures in Penang for you guys! =)

Review on The Karate Kid

Okay, at first I thought that The Karate Kid is just another movie for kids.

I was so reluctant when my BFF suggested to watch it. Anyway, this movie surprised me a lot, in a good way.

By the way, do you know that Jaden Smith is Will Smith's son?

Okaaaay, coz I don't know about that! ><

Get to know that from Tallboyz

Here goes the summary. (Duh, I'm too lazy to write on my own...)

12-year-old Dre Parker could've been the most popular kid in Detroit, but his mother's latest career move has landed him in China. Dre immediately falls for his classmate Mei Ying - and the feeling is mutual - but cultural differences make such a friendship impossible. Even worse, Dre's feelings make an enemy of the class bully, Cheng. In the land of kung fu, Dre knows only a little karate, and Cheng puts "the karate kid" on the floor with ease. With no friends in a strange land, Dre has nowhere to turn but maintenance man Mr. Han, who is secretly a master of kung fu. As Han teaches Dre that kung fu is not about punches and parries, but maturity and calm, Dre realizes that facing down the bullies will be the fight of his life. Written by Columbia Pictures

The common mistake people make about the need to learn Kung Fu is to be able to fight back. Real Kung Fu supposed to be self-defense or protect those who needed help. I read a lot about Kung Fu since I'm a big fan of those Chinese novels which stories revolve around Kung Fu and clans (武侠小说). So Mr.Han was attempting to instill the right value of Kung Fu among the practitioners whose perceptions had been distorted by their evil Kung Fu master.

There are a number of funny scenes in the movie itself. Personally, I like the scene where Dre went to look for Mr.Han, the maintenance man who in charge of his Beverly Hills apartment (There's a "Beverly Hill" in China! Lolx.) to repair the malfunction hot shower facility. Apparently, Mr.Han showed Dre that there is a much better option than catching flies with chopsticks.

I noticed that there had been one mistake in translation of a Chinese proverb. When Dre asked Mr.Han for more training, he turned him down and said,"物极必反". Of course knowing no Chinese, Dre asked Mr.Han the meaning of the proverb. He explained it as "too many good things will become bad things" (Er...he said something like that,I'm not too sure of the exact sentence.) when the exact meaning suppose to be "if one tried too hard, one might caused the thing to end up badly". God! I would have made a great translator! =P

Overall, The Karate Kid is a great movie that one should not missed!

Review on Killers =)

Note: This post might contain some spoiler alert

In order to spend more quality time with my BFF who I only have chance to hang out during semester break, I proposed to her that we should catch a movie together. Killers would be the best since I can go gaga over Ashton Kutcher it is a comedy. Hey, everybody knows laughter is the best medicine!

If you asked me which is the most memorable scene, I would have say the part where Katherine Heigl bumped into a half naked Ashton Kutcher in lift for the first time!

Who can take her eyes off such a purrrrrr-fect abdomen?

If I were Katherine, I would have prounce on Ashton like a hungry tigress right away in the lift!

Okay okay, here is the synopsis of the story!

Spencer Aimes (Kutcher) is just your average, undercover, government-hired super-assassin accustomed to a life of exotic European locales, flashy sports cars and even flashier women. But when he meets Jen Kornfeldt (Heigl), a beautiful, fun-loving computer tech recovering from a bad break-up, he finds true love...and happily trades international intrigue for domestic bliss. Three years later, Spencer and Jen are still enjoying a picture-perfect marriage - that is, until the morning after Spencer's 30th birthday. That's when Spencer and Jen learn he's the target of a multi-million dollar hit. Even worse, the hired killers have been stalking the happy couple for years, and could be anyone: friends, neighbors, the grocery store clerk, even that crabby old guy shuffling across the street. Now Spencer and Jen are on the run for their lives. As their suburban paradise turns into a paranoid game of dodge-the-bullet, they must find out who wants Spencer dead and why, all the while trying to save their marriage, manage his in-laws, keep up neighborly appearances ... and just plain survive. Written by Lionsgate

The movie is not bad in overall performance. The fun part of the movie is you'll never know which is on your side or which is your enemy. For all you know, your three years BFF might end up to be a professional killer who went on an undercover to kill your husband! Although Jen finds it hard to accept the fact that her husband is a killer, yet love conquers it all and she decided to stick to his side and assist him to find out the culprit behind all these commotions. When you find out the culprit in the end, I bet you'll go oh-my-wtf. It is very very unexpected. ><

Oh yeah, Kevin Sussman who played a role as a nerdy manager at comic book store in Big Bang Theory, made an appearance in Killers too! He was one of the killers who went after Spencer. Hmm...I must say he does not look convincing enough to be a killer. He is way off better as a comic bookstore manager.

I can't imagine if Sheldon Cooper was to act as a killer! It would be freaking hilarious! Erm...enough about my Big Bang Theory rant. I can't stop once I start talking about Sheldon Cooper.

A thought for the moment...

If you were Jen and you discovered that your husband/bf is a secret agent or a professional killer, would you choose to stay with him?

Review on Original Sin

Allison Brennan wooed my heart over with Original Sin!

I'm going to tell you why is this book a hit!

1) The plot is about a battle between good and evil. In this case, evil always win the upper hand. Well, I'm sure on the upcoming 7th book, evil will be defeat. =)

2) Moira is the heroine of the story. Yeap, you heard it right, a girl. There is no more damsel in distress version of grandmothers' stories.

3) Moira's mother is an ambitious witch who would love to take over the world. In order to do that, she killed a lot of innocents and managed to call upon the seven fallen angels ( seven deadly sins, read here. ) in the hope that they'll be on her service. Too bad the fallen angels are hard to be tamed and they roam the world at their own free will, create a lot of chaos by waking up the animus side of human. If one got controlled by her sins, one would die from it. Moira is on a mission to stop her lunatic mother and save the world.

4) We learn that there is white magic and black magic from Harry Potter series. However, according to Allison, magic is the root of all evil even though your intention is good. By conjuring magic, it will make you crave for more and more power, exactly like drugs. If you ask me, Moira's mother is just like a pathetic drug-addled woman who refused to go through rehabilitation and asked for more drugs instead. Lol.

5) You can hardly put the book down once you start to read. Doubt it? I challenge you. =P

6) The writer is humble!! She will reply her fans mail! I left her a comment at Facebook, Allison went through the trouble to reply me! ( Ok, me and other fans. ) That is one awesome way to reconnect with your readers!

Here is a proof of the awesomeness of the writer!

A link to a short story written by Allison!

Oh man! I can't wait to read the soon-to-be-released second book, Carnal Sin at the end of this month!!

My Mum & I

My mum is an interesting person.

This is our conversation on the other day, when both of us were watching Boys Over Flowers again

Mum: How come girls always scream like a desperate banshee whenever those handsome guys appear? Ain't it a disgrace to we, the women folk?!

Me: Okay, then how will you react if you happen to bump into Kwon Sang Woo in person? (My mum has been a big fan of Kwon Sang Woo, ever since she watched Stairways to Heaven.)

Mum: I won't scream for sure. I'll hug him tight and kiss him hard on his face!

Me: !!! *Speechless*

On a side note, I don't know whether any of you notice this, why is it always girls who lose control whenever they see handsome guys? All those dramas and movies always include a scene where a bunch of girls chase behind a desperate handsome guy who appears to run for his dear life.

Erm..I'm not sure why is the old man in the picture? Perhaps he is a gay?? Lol.

This is so damn unfair and sexist k! ><

Why can't there be a scene where a bunch of geeky men chased after a pretty girl?

Men Who Wear Skirts

The idea of men wearing skirts appears to be absurd to the public as skirts have often been seen as a sex distinction for women.

We seldom see men wear skirts aside from the male models at runway and male celebrities who are an avid fan of fashion.

Let's take a look at these guys!

The Korean guy looks so cute in that purple skirt! =P
(Note: I think the skirt is purple but there are online sources claimed that it is maroon. Er...whatever la.)

All these boil down to one word: H-O-T

H&M Men's 2010 Spring Collection!

This inspiring collection is designed by Marc Jacobs who loves wearing skirts and had been spotted wearing them at all times.

From left, John GallianoComme des Garcons, and Etro.

Even our New York based Malaysian fashion designer, Zang Toi had decided to wear a skirt too!

Hmmm.....

Obviously it requires good looks to work the style.

Grecian Dress

Grecian dress bears a resemblance to timeless beauty.

It is like one watching the ancient Greek civilization comes to life in the 21st century.

Check out how the celebrities and models work on the style!

One shoulder draped dress - Kate Moss inspired style

We have models wearing Grecian dress sashaying down the catwalk at Chadwick Bell, James Coviello, Elie Saab, Valentino and Kenzo runways.

I love the gorgeous white Grecian dress Serena is wearing! She looks like a goddess!

Selena Gomez looks dazzling in her yellow Grecian dress!

Jennifer Aniston surprised everyone by wearing Donna Karen Grecian jersey dress at the premiere of The Bounty Hunter.

I say the ancient Greeks must be proud to know that their fashion is still being well loved nowadays!
