My New Pledge!

That's it!!

I swear by the name of Pamela Anderson's watermelons, I'm not going to watch horror movie again!!!

Despite my friend's warning, I decided to watch Nightmare on Elm's Street with a friend of mine even though I had a nightmare which consisted of three ghosts chasing me down the street last night!

This is how I watched the movie from the beginning to the end:

Tactic One: Cover my ears firmly with hands!!

Tactic two: Close my eyes tightly or divert my gaze to other places such as seats, floor, people and e.t.c

Now my ears are so damn painful from the pressure I applied for the past 1.5 hour!

Can't believe I paid 9 bucks for getting myself a good scare! Lol.

I hope tonight I won't dream of the creepy and horribly disfigured man!

Mum! Can I sleep with you tonight? ><

The Red Bomb

I wonder whether is it about the trend or is it just the people I happen to know are weird?

My mother receives another red "bomb" again!

Here is the story.

My family stays in Klang while my maternal relatives stay in Penang. Since we live here, we missed out a lot of special occasions like fathers' day, mothers' day, my grandparent's birthday and e.t.c. I only have the chance to visit my grandparents during semester break and when my parents have a break from their work. My grandparents live alone and their life expense depend solely on their filial daughters.

You see... my grandma used to have this friend. Now, the friend's daughter's son is going to get married. Perhaps he needs extra money to subsidise his own wedding, his mother(the friend's daughter. Grandma's friend had passed away.) had decided to give 3 wedding invitations to her mother's old friend (my grandma), one for my grandparents, one for my mother's sister and another one for my mother. For chinese, when you receive a wedding invitation, it is customary for you to give them red packet(money!) whether you can make it or not. Okay, although it is not a crime to get married and want to share the good news with your CLOSED ones, but in this case, I don't understand why they've to give THREE wedding invitations to the same family? It is not as if my mother would take a day off from her work and attend the son's wedding in Penang? My mother doesn't even know their names! These people are just taking advantage on my grandma's kindness! My grandma isn't the type of person who knows to reject at the right time. She ends up giving them a big red packet although it means she has to restrict her expense for this month!

It makes me wonder how could some people be that "thick skin" huh?

The Classic!

Although I'm not a fan of cockroach, I'm an avid fan of Oggy and the Cockroaches since I was a kid. I love their theme song!

Watch this!

I had the theme song as my ring tone before!

Everytime my phone rings, the "Zai zai zai" tune starts. Imagine that! Lol.

Now in case you're wondering Oggy-who, I'm going to explain a little here.

This cartoon revolves around Oggy, a fat blue cat and three nastiest alien cockroaches - Joey, Dee Dee and Marky in a household. These three cockroaches enjoy making the poor Oggy's life miserable. If one compared Jerry from Tom and Jerry with these three rascals, Jerry would seem to be a saint!

Here is an episode of Oggy and the Cockroaches!

Hope they'll make you smile~!

There is another 90s' cartoon I love a lot!

I wonder whether this rings a bell to you?

Pinky and Brain are genetically enhanced lab mice who lives in a cage in a lab research facility. Well, Brain always comes up with a lot of plans to take over the world. However, none of the plans succeed due to Pinky's stupidity or the impossibility of Brain's plan.

Again, the theme song rocks!

I like the part where the opening is started by a dialogue between Pinky and the Brain.

Pinky: "Gee, Brain, what do you want to do tonight?"
The Brain: "The same thing we do every night, Pinky—try to take over the world!"

Aaaaaawwww!

I miss my childhood!!!!

Ten Random Facts About Lemon =)

1) I'm scared of ghost except Casper.

2) The reason why I always stop half-way while playing Ballade Pour Adeline is because I only know it half-way. =P

I feel so sorry towards Richard Clayderman!

3) Although I'm ( fill in the blanks ) years old this year, I have to hug my little  bolster to sleep.

No, I do not, DO NOT suck my index finger to sleep if that answered your question.

4) Although I've often claim my distaste towards Taylor Swift in the public, I do like her songs secretly. Oh yeah, not forgetting her bouncy golden curls.

Awwww, come on! Which blondie isn't pretty aside from Pamela Anderson?

5) I'm scared of having an appointment with dentist. If you want me to choose between scaling teeth, extracting my decayed tooth (if I've one) or eat poop, I'll rather eat poop than go through these torments. Tears of pain can't stop from welling up whenever I go for scaling.

Note: After browsing through various pictures of "poop on plate" at Google, I've decided to change my mind.

6) I suck at playing Pacman and Snake.

Guess I'm just too "evolved" for these games. =P

7) I've always fantasize about having a vampire boyfriend. Thanks to Robert Pattinson.

Even vampires seem to be hot nowadays!
Again, thanks to Robert Pattinson.

8) I'm hopelessly addicted to Restaurant City. No, I think the better word should be "obsessed". I've even sign up a few Facebook accounts to have extra ingredients to trade among my restaurants. I'm the proud owner of three restaurants! Yeap, you hear it right, T.H.R.E.E! Can anyone help me to get rid of my obsession?

9) Here I am, going to answer the million dollar question:

Why do I call myself Lemon?

The truth is.....I don't really know why.

No, I don't have any special attachment towards lemon or any cuisine related to lemon. I just think it is cool to be called "lemon". Hmmm.....

10) Whenever a girl who wears dangerously low cut V-neck walked past me in mall, my eyes can't help to linger around her humongous boobs for a few nano seconds.

Hey, I'm not a pervert!

They are the one who screamed in silent," Look at me! Look at me!!!" k?

That's all about the ten random facts!

Jay Chou or Robert Pattinson?

Jay Chou decided to include a twist of vampire plot in his new music video amidst the vampire fever that started by Twilight.

Check out his music video here!

Jay's video had caused a lot of controversy. There are criticisms which accused him as copycat of Twilight.

As you can see, in his music video, there are two different vampires fighting for the same girl. Jay would transform into a vampire after he listen to the sound of piano. However, in Twilight, with or without the piano sound, Edward is still a vampire. The only thing that can tell him apart from human is he will glitter if he is exposed to sunlight. Jay claimed that his vampire story comes from his creativity and he did not plagiarize any idea from Twilight. In fact, one of his old song is about vampire too.

Between Jay Chou and Robert Pattinson, I'm sure all the girls would gleefully expose their naked necks to the later. Of course I'm one of them. I've even fantasize about having a handsome vampire boyfriend!

Girls, who do you prefer?

The Girl Who Has It All

Aside gaining fame from the Harry Potter movies, Emma Watson has manage to grab a lot of attention (and earn an extra fortune) in the fashion world as well.

She had been on cover for the British Elle magazine on August 2009, modelling for Burberry's Autumn/Winter 2009 campaign and Burberry's Spring/Summer 2010 campaign and even had a photo shoot for the Italian Vogue back in year 2008.

Emma and her younger brother posing for Burberry's Autumn/Winter 2009 campaign. Well, this picture is a solid proof that good genes ensure good looks run in the family.

Burberry's Spring/Summer 2010 campaign

With the strong black eyeliner, Emma looks similar to Kristen Stewart, who is popularly known as Bella from the Twilight series. Personally, I think she carried this look much much more better than Bella!

Emma Watson posed for the upcoming June issue of Vanity Fair.

She definitely looks so divinely beautiful! I like her photo shoot with Italian Vogue the best because the photos create a dreamy effect just like a fairy tale in real life. Lol. How nice if I were the girl in these pictures!

Sigh!

Why does God has to be unfair at times?

When I Look At You

This is the only song I like from Miley.

Sorry to say that I dislike the singer though...

However, I'm kinda surprise that this song is quite good and the lyrics are quite meaningful!

I like the part where Miley sings," Everbody needs inspiration, everybody needs a song. A beautiful melody when the night's so long cause there is no guarantee that this life is easy~".

Music has often been proven as the best way to approach or to heal one's soul.

Do enjoy the music video! =)

Reminisce

My mum was the one who snapped this photo for us. This is why she does not make an appearance in the picture.

Whenever I look at this photo, I remind myself how lucky I am to have a happy family. =)

Look how tightly I clung on to my dad's neck when I was a kid!

I guess saying "I love you" or hugging my parents tight have never been awkward when I was a kid.

If you ask me to say "I love you" to my parents now, I would have write it down on a piece of paper and leave the note on the refrigerator door!

I find that most of the Chinese feel embarrassed when they have to express their love or gratitude to their parents openly. I don't know about you but most of my friends do feel the same thing.

Why is saying "I love you" to one's lover is an easier task than saying it to one's parents?

I bet my mum would jump in a fright if I hug her all of a sudden.

She might be wondering whether I've lost my mind? Lol.

How nice if we can learn from the Western in this aspect and start to show our affection to parents openly!

The Next Mika/ Mariah Carey Wannabe

Mariah Carey is a diva in everyone's heart.

No no no, it is not because of her...erm erm...! What I'm referring to is her ability to reach every high pitch easily!

This is a compilation of Mariah Carey reaching all those impossible high notes.

I always think that Mariah Carey is the only one who can sound like a dolphin until my friend pointed out I'm wrong about this. Mika can reach even higher notes than her!

This is Mika performing Grace Kelly.

Amazing isn't it?

Anyway, I happen to know this person who can sing as well as or much much more better than Mika and Mariah Carey!

Too bad she had chosen to keep a low profile or else this person will be gaining fame in a blink of time!

Allow me to introduce

*drum roll*
*drum roll*
*drum roll*
*drum roll*

LEMON!!!
THE NEW AGE FALSETTO!

My falsetto doesn't work well at normal times.

It only performs its best when I'm taking a roller coaster ride or trying out the Solero shot at Genting theme park or exploring a haunted house!

And this is why Lemon decided to remain low profile to the world...

Sigh...

I'm a Sunset Lover!

I remember there is always this so-called one of the psychology questions asks us whether we like sunrise or sunset.

The interpretation for sunrise lovers would be optimism while for sunset lovers would be pessimism.

Well, I dunno how true is the theory psychologically....

Anyway, I do love sunset a lot! Especially watching it at beach.

Here are few of my favourite sunset moments at beach! =)

Sunset I:

Location: Tanjung Mas

I snapped this breathtaking sunset picture by using my lousy camera phone, Sony Ericsson K770i. Of course I edited a little to make it more presentable. =P

Sunset 2:

Who says the sun is scorching hot? Look, I can hold it! =P

Location: Danga Bay

As usual, my lousy camera is not doing any justice to the beautiful sunset here... It will be a total experience if you guys can see it with your own eyes! =)

I think I'm a sentimental person.

That's why sunset is more appealing to me...

or....

Perhaps I'm never a morning person.

I rather sleep than wake myself up at wee hours to watch sunrise. =P

Classic Horror Movie

There's a reason why I don't like to go to fun fair.

If you had watched this classic Hong Kong horror movie, you would have understand why.

The movie revolves around a cursed fun fair.

Fourteen years back, a little girl accidentally fell from the ferris-o-wheel due to sudden breakdown of the machine controlling the wheel.

Ever since that tragedy, there had been a lot of tragic accidents in the park.

The fun fair had been forced to close down.

A group of teenagers decided to look for their friend's missing brother at this cursed fun fair. He was believed last seen at this place.

Neither do they know, once they set their feet in, they've inevitably embrace death...

My advice to you guys:

Dun ever watch it at N.I.G.H.T

or

at A.L.L!

Although some of the scenes do look pretty fake to me, it still managed to scare me to death k?

I still remember all the scenes clearly as though I've just watched it even though it has been a year!

The Weird Old Lady

It happened when I was browsing through stacks of lip gloss for my mum at Watson.

I saw her.

A woman in mid sixties (maybe?) was busy scrutinising every eyebrow pencil in store.

I did not pay much attention to her until she approached me and asked me to move away so that she can use the mirror(the only mirror available is at Rimmel section).

Unobligingly, I gave her way and waited for her to finish testing the Silky Girl eyebrow pencil, so that I can continue my mini "survey".

The way she drew her eyebrow had caught my attention.

This is how she draws it:

Okie, I know my drawing sucks~!

After applied a thick layer of black on her eyebrow, she painstakingly used another brand eyebrow pencil to draw another thick layer of red on top of it.

Hmmm....

Although I never use an eyebrow pencil before, I know people do not draw their eyebrows all the way to the side of their face. That is weird. Extremely weird indeed.

I dunno where in the world she get her beauty tips from but apparently she thinks this is perfect. She continuously thickened them, totally ignorant to the glare of the shop promoter who stood behind her.

Later I discovered that she works at Popular bookstore which is located just opposite to Watson.

I guess she must be a daily visitor to Watson.

That is where she gets her free makeup.

Makeup, to me, it is suppose to enhance the beauty of a person and hide any flaw to remain unseen to the naked eye.

How could she screw up this terribly?

The ABBA craze!

It has always been my favourite past time to make fun of my mum whenever she sings along to those 70's songs...you know, those popular songs during HER time.

Imagine the horror when I find myself humming along to the compilation of ABBA (er, how to type that inverted B huh?)
played by Light fm!

GASP!!!

I can practically sing any ABBA song!!!

Guess I have learnt those songs subconsciously when my mum sings them!

...And I'm a fan of them.

Of all the ABBA songs, my favourite is "Winner Takes It All"...oh wait! It shall be "Knowing Me,Knowing You"...hmmm..."Waterloo", "Fernando", "Money Money Money","Super Trouper".......

I think someone should ring up Oxford press and notify them that the definition of "favourite" has been changed to "more than one thing that you like".

Okay, now I'm gonna share with you guys "Winner Take It All"!

Do enjoy!
